Summer Financial Aid Application

SUMMER 2025 GENERAL APPLICATION PRIORITY DEADLINE: 05/01/2025

Students enrolled in Summer 2025 must have completed a 2024-2025 Free Application for Federal Student AID (FAFSA) and must have a complete 2024-2025 Financial Aid file. Students must register for ONLY those courses required for his/her current degree plan. Students must meet all requirements for the Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy (SAP Please refer to the Howard College Catalog at our website, www.howardcollege.edu for information.

Eligibility for Pell award: Students that have reached 100% of Pell for the 2024-2025 year, may qualify for an additional 50% The additional funds beyond 100% are only available if the student is enrolled at least half-time in the payment period. Continued eligibility will be based on total amount of Pell awarded (from all institutions), number of hours enrolled, and Satisfactory Academic Progress requirements.

Summer Loans: Students will be required to be enrolled and attending 6 hours simultaneously to receive student loans. Student must complete the Summer Loan Award Acceptance Form. Summer loans will be awarded based on prior loans awarded and loan limit eligibility. To receive loans, you must go through the application process as described on our website www.howardcollege.edu.

Enrollment in flex courses may affect Pell and/or loan disbursements, as well as eligibility. Please indicate your enrollment below.

By signing this application, I understand:

I must be meeting the Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy requirements.

I may not receive financial aid from two schools during the same semester.

I must be enrolled in courses that will count toward an approved certificate or degree program.

I must be attending class to receive any federal financial aid.
