Certified Nurse Aide (CNA)
The Nurse Aide program prepares students to achieve a level of knowledge, skills and abilities essential to providing basic care to residents of long-term care facilities. Topics include resident’s rights, communication, safety, observation, reporting, and assisting residents in maintaining basic comfort and safety. Emphasis is on the effective interaction with members of the health care team. Phlebotomy
This course prepares the student for practice of phlebotomy in clinics, hospitals, large medical offices, and blood banks. Medical terminology, safety and legal issues, various related physiological systems, laboratory tests, and specimens handling will be covered. Certification through National Healthcareer Association. Pharmacy Technician
This pharmacy technician class provides comprehensive training in pharmaceutical fundamentals and practical skills. Our EKG course provides training on electrocardiogram procedures. Students learn to recognize normal and abnormal heart rhythms, understand cardiac anatomy, and operate EKG equipment. This fully online course trains students in the essential skills of accurately assigning medical codes for procedures and diagnoses, and processing healthcare claims. Students learn medical terminology, insurance protocols, and coding systems. It also covers software applications used in billing, ensuring proficiency in electronic health records and compliance with healthcare regulations. Includes Electronic Health Records Specialist exam.
